Aspen

The wedding planning is going great and I’m feeling stronger, healthier. All the vitamins and the nausea medicine are taking care of most of my major issues. If I can just stop touching my stomach in front of people I’ll be perfectly content with how things are going right now. Micah is staying close but he’s not pushing me.

Although he did ask if he can go to my next doctor’s appointment. I told him I’d think about it. I’m still thinking.

But my bride and groom are ecstatic with our work and I’m excited to see how it all ends up. It’s coming up on us soon.

I’m feeling a little bit tired and I keep falling asleep though. I’m guessing that is normal but it’s dragging at me and I yawn, sitting at my desk.

“Dammit, woman! Go home and get some sleep. You’re about to pitch a tent at your desk.”

Micah’s growl brings my head up and I eye him nervously. There’s something so…tempting about this guy. Half the time I hate him and half the time I want to rip the buttons off his shirt again.

I think I need therapy. Although I’ve heard that pregnancy hormones can make a woman really horny. Maybe that’s it. It’s not him. It’s that my body needs a good fucking.

My face flushes when I remember our one and only time. Micah Johannson is really good at fucking. I am still waking up at night dreaming of his big hands on me, his body covering mine as he claims me.

I shove that thought right back down and clear my throat. “I’m fine, Micah. I’m just a little tired today. I didn’t sleep well last night.” Because I dreamt of his hands all over me and woke up dripping wet and sweating so hard that I had to change my sheets and then use a damn vibrator on my aching clit.

I wish to god this wedding was over. I need to get away from this guy.

I stand up and move towards him, growling when he doesn’t move out of the doorway. “Move, please.”

“You need to get upstairs and get some sleep.”

I lift my brow and cross my arms, glaring him down. “I think that I’m fully capable of taking care of myself. If you’d leave me alone I’d have a helluva lot less stress.”

He flinches and I shove down the niggling guilt eating at me. It’s not his fault that I’m feeling stressed. The bride and groom picked us and this crazy situation.

I’ve got to get over this because I want this wedding to be perfect. In spite of Micah Johannson and his sexy ice-blue eyes and gorgeous body.

“I’m fine. I’d be a lot happier if you left me alone. Just because this is where I work doesn’t mean that I want you camping out in my house, Micah.”

I shove past him and he follows me, smirking. “I’m not camping out. But you need someone to keep an eye on you. You’re not being careful enough.
